We operate development centers in Plymouth, MI, Irvine CA and San Jose, CA, and Surrey, England, as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois. Submitting your application to our Indirect Purchasing Internship you be asked to support the following: ·     Help manage Request for Quotations for a number of business stakeholders·     Identify and manage the on-boarding process for new supplies needed to fulfill Rivian rapid growth needs.·     Establish measurement metrics for software utilization and total expenses company wide.·     Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate stakeholder orders in quick and thorough nature.·     Support purchase order closeout requirements such as goods receipt reconciliation, changes, and payments. ·     Support the creation of dashboards necessary to track the progress of the Indirect Purchasing team.·     Report findings and progress to upper management in a clear and concise matter.·     Negotiate and issue Purchase Orders on behalf of other business units as well as Procurement. ·     Track and manage the contracting process and ensure that expiring contracts are being prioritized for review with the Stakeholders.   THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  Completion of your sophomore year by May 2020 in an accredited 4 year program for Engineering: Business, Finance or Mechanical Engineering are preferred, others will be considered if candidates display an eagerness to learn with the aptitude to perform. Are you strategic?
