Get to know the Role:

As the backbone of the business, you will experience the excitement of running the day to day operations.  The Merchant Operations Team at Grab focuses on partnering with the merchant related business lines such as GrabFood and GrabPay, supporting the operations of the business lines and enabling the launch projects and initiatives. 

Our work is extremely dynamic as we thrive in a fast paced industry where we continuously listen to merchant feedback and seek opportunities to improve the merchant experience. Internally, we continuously seek to improve, streamline processes to achieve efficiency.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Managing the merchant operations, ensuring that daily operations and customer experience is running smoothly

  • Ensuring the successful roll out of the strategic initiatives and projects that affect merchants operations

  • Continuously seeking opportunities for improving internal operational processes as well as merchant experience

  • Work closely with product team to influence product development to enhance customer experience

  • Act as the voice of merchant partners and feedback account grievances and drive change in cases where it is necessary

  • Involved in Project Management, stakeholder management, hustling attitude to get cross functional project aligned & initiated.

The must haves:

  • Attained strong academic standing

  • At least 2 - 4 years’ working experience in start ups, operations, process improvement or other related areas

  • Able to work in fast paced environment, self-motivated and display good team spirit

  • Good presentation & communication skills 

  • Data driven, detail oriented and meticulous;

  • Well versed with Excel formulas and functions e.g.: data lookup function, IF conditional function, pivot table, etc.

  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism, with a customer centric and data driven decision-making mindset

  • Good interpersonal skills, written & spoken English

  • Comfortable to work with different function units in the organization and external stakeholders

  • Experience in SalesForce and knowledge of system life cycle is a plus

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, SQL language will be an advantage
