WeWork is seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced manager to help lead the Member Communications team, based in NYC, to handle our global member engagement program to our 580,000+ member base. The role will oversee the development and execution of key member communications strategies and execute campaigns around company initiatives. This person will not only be an expert in identifying content that will interest and engage our members, but also know how to put together products that deepen the engagement with our members across all channels and platforms.
The role requires setting priorities and key narratives for the member communications team; collaborating and strategizing with other teams, internally and externally; and ensuring an ongoing and on-brand content calendar. Design and lead all aspects of the implementation of a member communications strategy across the company’s corporate and regional channels, ensuring it aligns with our business goals, voice, and brand, and maximizes engagement.
Oversee global campaigns and communications for product and services marketing launches, large-scale strategic events, surveys, impact initiatives, new product lines, building service notifications (crisis communications, holiday notices, and operational updates).
Develop product narratives and oversee campaigns delivered across email, app, and digital screens in WeWork buildings.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand how their goals are best represented and amplified by our member-facing channels, and maintain brand consistency.
Maintain ongoing relationships with global teams.
Collaborate on new ideas, and seek out new directions and venues to improve the member experience.
3-5 years of experience managing multiple projects, ideally within a complex, corporate environment operating on a global scale.
A people person skilled at building and nurturing relationships, and balancing many priorities—and always doing so with a good attitude.
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS specific to email, experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Excel a plus.
Experience using a major email marketing platform (Pardot, Eloqua, ExactTarget, Dotmailer, Emarsys, Sailthru, Responsys, Campaign Monitor, etc.).
Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, the GDPR, et al. and email compliance best practices.
Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
Analytical, creative, and organized with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication skills, with strong time and project management abilities.
Ability to quickly and effectively analyze data points to drive effective experimentation and growth as well as confidently tell stories through data.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to evolving business objectives and shifting priorities.
Sound news judgment and a keen instinct about what’s on-brand.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field
