Coinbase is looking for a Compensation Insight Analyst to support its rapidly growing population. Reporting the Head of Total Rewards, you will be a thought partner and  build out the analytics function for the Coinbase compensation team.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • The Compensation Insights Analyst will be responsible for applying strategic analytic skills to transform raw people/compensation data into meaningful and actionable HR business insights.
  • Design and execute data models using statistical principles (e.g., regression, correlation, etc.)
  • Produce concise, story-centered presentations to communicate analytic insights.
  • Create, maintain, and update interactive data dashboards and visualizations.
  • Provide training to HR stakeholders on the use of analytics and basic statistical measurements.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leadership to identify key people metrics that align with business strategies and help to spearhead decisions.
  • Support Head of Rewards through data creation, analytics, reporting, and insights
  • Conduct in-depth competitive analyses and modeling for total rewards programs, including salary increases, internal pay equity analysis, competitive assessments of market pay trends, equity utilization and budget impact

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Excellent data analytic skills and can effectively present those findings to different audiences
  • The ability to work with stakeholders to find the right questions as well as their answers
  • A highly collaborative style, and ability to work as part of a team as well as on one’s own
  • Solid understanding of compensation survey data and can leverage that data to guide competitive pay decisions
  • Solid applied statistical and analytic skills to design and execute predictive, descriptive, and inferential statistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex analytics insights to non-technical audiences, including senior executive leadership.
  • Must be a curious, creative problem solver with excellent project management skills and the ability to stay organized to deliver on multiple contending priorities while always seeking the most effective, efficient, and scalable way to accomplish results.
  • Proficiency in acquiring, organizing, cleansing, and manipulating large amounts of data.

Nice to haves:

  • 3- 5 years of experience in workforce analytics, business intelligence, and/or compensation analytics.
  • Advanced skills in data visualization and analytic tools – experience with Looker or Tableau preferred.
