Coinbase is looking for a Compensation Business Partner to support its rapidly growing population. 

The right candidate thrives in fast-paced, high growth culture that values strategic communication, teamwork and results. You are self-motivated and detail oriented with a very solid orientation to data analytics and project management.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • The Compensation Business Partner will be responsible primarily for partnering with HR Business Partners and business managers and leadership to help drive compensation decisions and strategy critical to the business  
  • Support design and implementation of compensation-related initiatives, linking programs to overall compensation philosophy and corporate culture
  • Together with internal HR stakeholders, develop and present training materials related to our compensation programs, philosophy and strategy 
  • Apply analytic skills to transform raw people/compensation data into meaningful and actionable HR business insights 
  • Produce concise, story-driven presentations to communicate analytic insights  
  • Partner with compensation colleagues to support the compensation team’s internal data gathering, modeling, analytics, reporting, and insights, using benchmarking surveys to make sure our compensation approach is market-leading, scalable, and internally aligned

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • A highly collaborative style, and ability to work as part of a small team as well as on one’s own
  • A very solid  understanding of compensation survey data and industry practices
  • Excellent and effective  story-telling skills, and ability to synthesize data and build compelling and crisp slide presentations and effectively communicate complex insights to non-technical audiences, including senior executive leadership.
  • Strong interest in developing creative solutions and spearheading unique compensation-related business strategy  
  • The ability to work with stakeholders to find the right questions as well as their answers
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to stay organized while delivering on multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to grow in the role and scale as part of a growing and increasingly complex organization
  • At least 3- 5 years of experience in compensation, consulting, HR strategy or a related field 
  • High proficiency in Google Sheets, Slides, Docs 
  • Proven project management, communication, and analytic skills
  • Very detail oriented and customer service focused
  • Familiarity with global compensation strategies, understanding regional pay differences
  • Familiarity with the tech and/or financial services industry in a private or public company setting
