Based in San Francisco, our team is committed to creating a driven and diverse company with ambitious people from wide-ranging backgrounds. Brex is hiring a Business Recruiter to help scale the operational side of the business. Our mission is to find and attract top talent for Brex while maintaining the most elite candidate experience. The Business Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various operational roles across multiple functions. You will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote the Brex brand, reduce our time-to-hire and ensure we attract the best talent. Ultimately, you will build a strong talent pipeline and help hire and retain skilled employees for our operational teams.

Responsibilities

    • Write and post technical job descriptions
    • Source potential candidates on niche platforms
    • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen resumes
    • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities
    • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions)
    • Coordinate with leadership to forecast department goals and hiring needs
    • Participate in conferences and meet-ups to network with professionals
    • Onboard new hires
    • Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements
    • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. phone, Skype and structured)
    • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements 
    • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases (Greenhouse)
    • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
    • Solid understanding of HR practices and labor legislation
    • BS in Human Resources Management or relevant degree

What We Value

    • 5+ years of experience in recruiting (agency and/or in-house)
    • Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
    • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc)
    • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check etc)
    • Ability to organize skills assessment centers (in tray activities, work samples, psychometric and IQ/EQ tests, etc)
    • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
    • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong decision-making skills
