Babylon, a digital healthcare and AI company based in the UK, has partnered with TELUS to bring Canadians “Babylon by TELUS Health” – a service that is covered by MSP and allows British Columbians to access a family doctor using their smartphone.
Residents can access primary care from a BC-licensed family physician 7 days a week by downloading the free app on iOS or Android.

The Talent Function:
Babylon’s talent team is responsible for recruiting the top physicians and healthcare providers in Canada as well as helping our grow our Canadian office (TELUS Garden).
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Talent Lead and have the opportunity to get involved in building out the recruitment strategy as we scale, and will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment of physicians and operational staff across all provinces.
The Opportunity: The Talent team at Babylon is growing again and we're looking to add our 4th team member!
In this full-cycle role, you’ll have the opportunity to join a small and nimble team of ~40 Babylonians professionals as we prepare to launch in new provinces.
You’ll be responsible leading the recruitment process for a variety of roles including physicians, medical staff, project managers, developers, finance, operational staff, and more! This is a generalist role so you'll need to be comfortable switching lanes.
- You’ll get to help build out the talent function of a digital health company by creating systems and processes around “hiring for scale”.
You’ll get to be an advisor to our hiring managers and share the basics of headhunting candidates from sourcing > interviewing > negotiating > closing.
Events – we’re planning major events to help elevate the standards and delivery of digital healthcare using emerging technology like AI. You’ll get to help with the choosing, planning, development, and execution of these events.
What We’re Looking For:Around 3 years' experience in a full-cycle recruitment position (internal and agency experience is quite important to us). The ability to partner with hiring managers to gather the deliverables of a role and write compelling job descriptions that accurately describe a position’s key deliverables. Familiarity working with an ATS such as Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar (we use Lever)The ability to partner with our Lead on building “hiring for scale” strategies such as large scale events, automating processes, country-wide initiatives.
