The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for daily operations of the accounts receivable and follow up functions related to Babylon billing and claims for telemedicine visits. You should be passionate about the mechanics of successful payer collections and seeks innovative solutions to optimize performance and increase efficiency. You will need to be highly skilled in the use and understanding of Athena, certified in coding, knowledgeable of payer rules and payer/provider workflows that result in optimal reimbursement.
We are looking for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and perform daily tasks when Babylon begins offering telemedicine visits in January 2020 and is able to build a team over time as patient volumes increase. Willing to assist with non-clinical Practice Management duties when needed. Non-clinical Practice Manager responsibilities include overseeing the overall operational success and development of Babylon Health. In this important role, the successful applicant will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, Physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities:Responsible for end-to-end RCM activities as well as fulfilling some Practice Management duties including:Audit charges being entered by the Babylon providersElectronic claim submission through Athena; tracking claims for timely filing and reimbursement to reduce the days in A/RReconcile payment postingDenial managementA/R Management & Follow-Up; review A/R reports monthlyRevenue cycle integrity and auditing; assures program compliance with all applicable federal and state rules, regulations and laws related to healthcare billingConduct regular staff meetings and annual performance reviewsManage daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practiceRegularly review productivity and make staffing adjustments as neededResponsible for building a solid foundation for Babylon RCM to allow for scalability as volumes increase. This includes activities such as:Optimize RCM workflows through coordination with other Operations teamsOptimize existing reporting and assist with additional report design in order to inform executive decisions, identify areas for improvement & increase operational efficiencyIdentify key hires and build an efficient and collaborative team
Experience, Qualifications and Skills:Must have 5+ years Revenue Cycle experience & 3+ years managing othersExperience coding HCPCS, ICD-10 and CPT-4Strong knowledge of government payersExcellent communication and customer service skillsRecent experience with AthenaExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSuperior attention to detail
Preferred:Background in healthcare, telemedicine, or tech start-ups
