The Business Operations team leads planning and delivery of key initiatives at Carta. The Director of BizOps will take lead on high priority projects and drive them from analysis to execution. This person will be a thought and execution partner to the executive team on their management agenda.
The Business Operations team partners with product and business leaders to drive strategic analyses, optimize business performance, and deliver best-in-class execution. From evaluating new market and product opportunities to driving cross-functional initiatives, the Business Operations team formulates strategic recommendations with actionable insights that accelerate Carta’s growth.

Responsibilities

Serve as a partner to the Carta leadership team by delivering strategic projects and recommendations that provide key business insights for high-priority initiatives and enable data-driven decision-makingServe as the connective tissue across functional teams (including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance and other internal groups, etc.), working to share knowledge and drive people towards company goals and targetsBuild, manage, and lead a team that drives analyses of our various businesses and develop a deep understanding of key value drivers to identify and prioritize improvement opportunitiesLead initiatives end-to-end that will improve Carta’s growth trajectory or provide operating leverageOversee business performance reporting and scale best practices across the organizationProvide coaching and mentorship to team members and business partners

Qualifications

6-10 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or other relevant experienceMotivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to accelerate Carta’s growthExperience managing complex projects while demonstrating exceptional business judgement and building relationships with executive teamsExcellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations, especially to executivesComfort with data and ambiguity, and an ability to both delve into details and engage meaningfully on overall strategyAbility to seek information, solve conceptual problems, corral resources and deliver results in challenging situations History of developing junior colleagues and building capabilities of teamsExperience in enterprise software, SaaS, financial services, and/or fintech a plus
