The regional technology sourcing team manages all external technology spend across Grab. We are excited to help support the growth of Grab and scale technology sourcing at a pace that supports the expansion of the business.
The Manager (Technology Sourcing) primary responsibility is to utilize the strategic sourcing best practices to capture real savings while making effective risk management decisions; in addition to that, a passion for developing strong cross functional relationships will be key to success in this role.
The day-to-day activities to support in the following:
Creating and owning the strategy for the technology category - software, hardware, infrastructure, services within the technology sourcing team
Develops business case, cost/benefit analysis
Leads sourcing efforts beginning with spend analysis through contract execution.
Applies and implements Strategic Sourcing best practices and processes.
Mitigate risks and capture opportunities (short and mid term) for external spend.
Analyzes, documents and presents complex category specific operational and total cost financial data to stakeholders
Drafts and edits commercial documents (RFx, Commercial terms & conditions, etc.)
Leads negotiations and approval process for commercial agreements.
Leads supplier evaluation and selection process.
Reviews and approves supplier management program strategies
Manages Service Level Agreements with key strategic suppliers.
Monitors and measures supplier performance and compliance; identifies and recommends ways to resolve performance issues.
Identifies and leads process/continuous improvement efforts.
Able to communicate well with different level.
The must haves:
Degree in any Engineering, Business Management discipline or any relevant study.
Passionate about cutting edge technology - disrupt or be disrupted!
Engaging personality that can build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Category expertise in the technology category and associated sub-categories.
Negotiation and sourcing - Understands and applies category specific commercial law concepts, contractual terms and conditions.
Self starter - possesses initiative, resourceful and proactive attitude.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Highly motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
