Our Finance and Accounting Team collaborates as a strategic partner to clients, partners and all internal departments.  The company transacts around the world with on-the-ground operations teams in San Francisco, New York, China, Hong Kong, Amsterdam and Hamburg.  As our revenue and business complexity grows, we need a highly-experienced Tax leader to build out and maintain all things tax at Flexport. What you’ll do: Own all aspects of taxation with the company, including planning, financial reporting and compliance. Prepare or review all assigned U.S. and foreign corporate income tax, indirect tax, and information returns. Oversight of the tax returns for the Company’s international subsidiaries Responsible for accounting for income taxes (SFAS No. 109) in the US and International subsidiaries Coordination of accounting for income taxes for international subsidiaries with third party vendors Head the development of effective and operationally sound tax strategies to reduce the overall tax burden of the consolidated group of companies.   Ongoing development and maintenance of intercompany arrangements between subsidiaries. Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements . Partner with payroll function for all employee-related tax issues, including payroll taxes, T&E, and stock-based comp. Partner with global mobility team to advise on employee relocations. Manage and direct outside tax consultants. Coordinate with external auditors What you’ll need: 8+ years of experience working in a large public accounting firm, law firm, or multi-national corporate tax department. Must possess the ability to think strategically while also engaging in day-to-day tactical details. Experience and successful performance of  international tax planning, compliance, and return preparation for both US and International locations. Skill in developing and execution of tax planning and risk reduction strategies. Strong project management skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving skills. Strong understanding of federal direct income tax issues. Understanding of indirect and international tax. CPA a plus. Help Grow Flexport Warehousing Services The opportunity: Flexport Warehousing Services is an integral part of Flexport operations and is planning to expand rapidly with several new sites globally to improve end-to-end operational control and provide a superior customer experience. Our aim is to build highly efficient warehouses of the future for freight forwarding. As a result of our very ambitious growth plans we're looking for a Global Solutions Business Analyst to join our growing Warehousing Services Team who will propel us in our next phase of growth. In this new role the Business Analyst will drive several projects related to growing our footprint, standardizing our blueprint and also improving day-to-day operational efficiency globally.
