Yet most of the extraordinary value this company will generate lies ahead of us.   The Role This is a varied, fast paced role where you will be responsible for the inbound, storage, outbound and timely delivery of all rider and restaurant kit across 10 warehouses globally.  The Deliveroo Supply Chain is constantly evolving to meet Deliveroo’s needs.   Identifying and delivering appropriate solutions, whilst continuing to drive efficiency and process improvement is critical. You’ll also work very closely with the following stakeholders: Local Markets - work with local teams to understand their requirements and extract relevant data to deliver regular reporting and ad hoc analysis Logistics and Warehousing Providers - manage 3PL’s to ensure service levels are met  Restaurant Partner and Rider Kit Strategy - partner with Deliveroo operational teams to understand and support strategic plans   Responsibilities Manage multiple cross-functional work streams effectively, with a stakeholder-centric focus Flair in structuring and communicating complex questions and recommendations to the business Balance strategic design with practicability, and be keenly aware of implications across other parts of the business Possess strong desire to galvanise action within Deliveroo and land operational changes successfully Ensure stock accuracy and visibility within a mostly unintegrated/automated system infrastructure   Requirements IMPACT DRIVEN: You’ll be working on driving efficiency and streamlining the Deliveroo Supply Chain. This could include assessing the costs and benefits of various solutions to deliver business initiatives, to reviewing existing processes and ways of working to create efficiencies. ANALYTICAL AND COLLABORATIVE: There will be some number-crunching and/or data modelling involved, but your role will also be about stepping back – you’ll need to see the bigger picture and understand how your insights are aligned with the direction the business is heading in. You should also be proactive in gathering input from relevant stakeholders to co-create pragmatic solutions. DECISIVE AND INFLUENTIAL: You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable with making quick yet calculated decisions, even in times of ambiguity. You also need to make recommendations of changes, which could (or perhaps should) be game-changing and communicate them across the business persuasively. More importantly, you must have a strong desire to galvanise action within Deliveroo. This means that you’ll need to be able to rally others around these recommendations and work with multiple teams to implement and track them effectively. We are looking for someone who: Has 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management in a high growth startup, logistics firm or retailer Has managed a multi-site international Supply Chain Has experienced at least one implementation of a WMS Has a deep desire to solve real world problems, who sees the beauty of data and structure and how important these are to understanding a problem and identifying effective solutions Can prioritise effectively as well as lead multiple project workstreams concurrently and independently Is adept at conducting 80/20 analysis, drawing out business insights from that analysis and presenting findings and recommendations persuasively Possesses strong communication skills with the ability to influence others Has solid Excel and modelling skills Can demonstrate effective PowerPoint skills in terms of speed and quality of output   Life at Deliveroo We are a small team, with very large impact, seeking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, we’re always looking for new ideas and we’re very transparent about the decisions we make and why we make them. There are so many questions we need to answer and plenty more we haven’t even encountered. How do data and technology help restaurants to grow as consumer habits change? How can we predict what someone wants to order for dinner long before the idea has even crossed their mind? At Deliveroo these are just some of the tough problems we are solving - and there is no challenge that cannot be yours. No solution is owned by a particular team, which means the scope for growth and personal impact is enormous.   Benefits and Diversity At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. We offer a wide range of competitive benefits in areas including health, family, finance, community, convenience, growth, time away and relocation. In 2018 we announced our decision to give every employee equity in the company. We did this because we wanted all of our employees, regardless of location, level or role to be owners and because we believe that this is the right thing to do. We believe this helps build a culture where everyone is committed and able to share in the company’s success. We believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. We operate one of the most complex three sided marketplaces in the world and we do this in real time. Millions of customers and thousands of restaurants and riders rely on us to match them within milliseconds. The algorithms behind that marketplace are the secret sauce that allows us to deliver our orders in under 30 minutes. And we’re just getting started The scale of the opportunity ahead of us is immense. The global food market is valued at £7.7 trillion but only 1% of it is currently online. Contrast that with the digital disruption of countless other industries - from banking and travel to retail and communications - it’s clear that our journey in the food sector has only just begun. We are already a multi-billion dollar company that is more than doubling in size every year.  Deliveroo came top in the FT’s’ list of Europe’s fastest growing 1000 companies in 2018, and we were the first company ever to win Deloitte’s ‘UK Top 50’ two years in a row. Yet most of the extraordinary value this company will generate lies ahead of us.   The Role As the Head of Rider Growth you will lead our rider marketing strategy across the entire lifecycle - from acquiring new riders to improving rider tenure and engagement. You will be responsible for the execution of rider marketing campaigns (including ensuring quality and relevance of content) and for optimizing each of our marketing levers to achieve our required rider supply hours. You will work with marketing specialists (brand, creative, performance marketing and CRM) to achieve these objectives. We are looking for a true all-star, who is able to set strategy, structure and manage a team but also get into the details to identify future opportunities. You will be skilled at navigating a matrixed organization and be able to achieve alignment across multiple stakeholders (product, marketing, local operations teams and business intelligence) to drive toward a common objective.  Responsibilities Understand who our riders are, what they care about and where to reach them Manage the budgeting process for rider marketing / CRM initiatives and track performance to budget Working with marketing specialists to optimize existing acquisition channels and find new and more efficient channels for rider acquisition Define a CRM strategy that maximizes rider tenure and frequency. Work with marketing specialists and data scientists on an experimentation plan to identify lifecycle strategies that are efficient and scalable.  Managing our content strategy including managing the channels through which we communicate to riders Work closely with country heads of operations and rider marketing to deliver company goals  Key Competencies Strategic Thinking: be able to develop a vision for rider marketing and get the buy-in from partner teams on executing against this vision Team Development: we are looking for a strong leader who can set direction and help prioritize work in a fast moving and ambiguous environment. You will be able to manage and mentor your team and invest heavily in their development and progression Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: You will need excellent collaboration and communication skills - building deep, trust based relationships with local markets and global teams across several functions Ability to deep-dive to drive insights: Experience with quantitative data analysis and identifying actionable insights Requirements 7+ years of relevant professional experience Marketing experience a strong plus Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint/Google Slides Life at Deliveroo We are a small team, with very large impact, seeking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest growing start-up’s around.
