Analyze player behaviors and work closely with the cross-functional team to identify, design, and refine features that will improve the product’s retention, engagement, and monetization. Design and monitor experiments with clear and measurable goals to evaluate and optimize the performance of game features. Work with live ops producers and designers to create and maintain the live-ops strategy. Communicate product status, key issues, and launch plans to decision-makers across the organization. Qualifications 5+ years of experience managing or analyzing top-grossing, free-to-play mobile games. You have a degree in Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent; graduate degree preferred. Very comfortable managing KPIs through analytics for live, long term engagement games. You have experience working with diverse teams. You have familiarity with running complex projects and working as a horizontal leader to gain consensus with many partners. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting & Revenue, Niantic is seeking a candidate to lead accounting for Niantic’s growing advertising and partnership business! This role will blend both operational and technical accounting, allowing the opportunity to run full cycle accounting for advertising, sponsorships and various other partnership revenue initiatives. This includes responsibility for executing the Company’s month-end revenue close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and establishing accounting policies, controls and procedures within the Revenue Accounting team. Additionally, this person will be Niantic’s subject matter expert on revenue recognition and play a meaningful role in reviewing draft customer agreements, advising on structure and financial impact This is a full-time role that will interface heavily with our Business Development and Legal teams.  This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Responsibilities Run month end close for areas including advertising revenue, accounts receivable, reserves and partner payments; preparing workbooks, journal entries and account reconciliations as necessary. Responsible for developing and maintaining the revenue recognition policy associated with advertising partnerships and other partnership related revenue initiatives, including reviewing customer contracts, researching accounting literature, preparing memos and collaborating with external auditors. Responsible for reporting on the status of advertising customers, including monthly reports on bookings, collections and forecasts for Finance and Business Development teams. Work cross functionally with Engineering and Data Analytics teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of systems used for billing and accounting purposes. Lead the development and implementation of new process and procedures to allow scale and increase efficiency of month end close, including new systems improvements and utility from NetSuite ARM. Coordinate AR operations for advertising customers: billing, cash collections and AR aging. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting with 5-7+ years of professional experience; public accounting background at a Big 4 preferred. CPA license is required. Advanced knowledge of revenue recognition in US GAAP and experience in performing technical revenue research, specifically ASC 606. Experience with preparing journal entries, working through debits & credits, and ability to demonstrate how those numbers flow through the financial statements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Proactive “self-starter” with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the company. Strategic thinker that considers both current needs and long-term scale. Ability to prioritize and handle tasks in order to meet deadlines. Experience with NetSuite a plus, but not required. The Niantic Customer Operations Team provides global customer support while using tools to ensure a high-quality gameplay experience for tens of millions of users. We are seeking an APAC Customer Operations Manager who will be responsible for APAC customer support operations including but not limited to social media support and community management. Seeking a Business Development Manager to work alongside Niantic’s business leaders responsible for Licensing deals, Corporate Development, Sales and Community Engagement partnerships. This role requires an entrepreneurial candidate who learns fast, hustles to execute, collaborates well with various functional teams and can build strong rapport with clients and partners. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, takes initiative and loves our mission of fostering outdoor exploration.  This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Responsibilities Identify, analyze and propose potential strategic partners for Niantic. Source and negotiate deal with partners that can enhance Niantic’s platform (including but not limited to point of interest datasets and technology solutions). Engage in and support our deal negotiations with competitive analysis and modeling. Collaborate closely with our Product Managers, Engineers and Legal team to ensure contracts meet internal needs. Identify scaled solutions for internal processes that help to drive productivity. Help manage and execute on community engagement initiatives, including those related to outdoor community events and educational projects. Qualifications JD, MBA or equivalent degree. Will also consider BA/BS with 5-6 years of relevant work experience. Strong communicator and negotiator who would represent Niantic in external party discussions. Analytical mind that can structure terms to achieve win-win partnership outcomes. An ability to initiate and interpret legal documents while working with attorneys. A deep understanding of Niantic's products and technology industry. Track record of successfully managing cross border (Asia - US) teams that understand how to bridge “cultural divide” and foster trust. You have written and speaking proficiency in English another Asian language such as Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean (please specify in resume). Flexibility to travel around the APAC region. Plus If...
